Privacy Policy

Momentum is a habit, routine, task, and program application. This policy explains how Momentum handles information when you use the Android app, this website, or the optional AI connector.

Information we process

• Account identifiers created through Firebase Authentication, and your name and email if you choose to link Google Sign-In.
• Content you create, including habits, routines, checklists, to-dos, completion logs, scores, workbook notes, and settings.
• Purchase and entitlement information needed to verify and restore Momentum Pro through Google Play. Momentum does not receive your full payment-card details.
• App interaction, device, diagnostic, and crash information used to understand usage, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• If you opt in to Momentum Updates, a private push-registration identifier plus limited delivery context such as platform, app version, locale, and time zone. This is used only to route notifications to your installation and is not readable by other app users.

How we use information

We use information to provide cloud sync, authentication, reminders, analytics and insights, purchase verification, customer support, security, debugging, and product improvement. We do not sell personal information and the app does not display third-party advertising.

Website analytics and campaign measurement

The Momentum website uses Google Analytics for aggregate page and interaction measurement. Analytics storage is denied until you choose “Allow” in the website notice; advertising storage, ad-user-data, and ad-personalization signals remain disabled. If you continue without allowing analytics, Google may receive limited cookieless measurement pings. Campaign parameters included in a link to Google Play may be passed through Google Play’s install-referrer mechanism so Momentum can understand which website campaign led to an install. Website events use structural labels such as page, program identifier, route, or button location and do not include the personal goal text or prompt you enter.

Service providers

Momentum uses Google services including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing. These providers process information on our behalf under their applicable terms and privacy safeguards.

AI assistant connections (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)

Momentum offers an optional integration that lets you connect your Momentum account to a supported AI assistant as a custom connector. This is off by default: it only activates if you deliberately add the connector in the assistant's own settings and complete a sign-in and consent screen for your Momentum account. Gemini custom connections are limited to eligible Gemini Spark accounts. See the AI connector setup guide for current availability and connection steps.

When connected, the assistant can use the permissions you approve to read or change your Momentum tasks, habits, routines, today's habit logs, and—when enabled for your account—private personal programs. This includes update, completion, archive, logging, clear, revision, and deletion operations. Destructive operations require explicit confirmation. Momentum checks whether the connected account has an active Pro entitlement but does not expose purchase records to the assistant. The connector cannot access diagnostic or device data, account credentials, device-local photos, or data belonging to another user. Access is limited to the granted OAuth scopes; a read-only scope cannot make changes. You can revoke access from the assistant's connected-app settings at any time.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit. Account content is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, active account content is scheduled for deletion; limited security logs, backups, and legally required transaction records may remain for up to 90 days or longer where law requires.

Your choices

Momentum Updates are off by default and can be enabled or disabled separately from your own habit reminders in Settings. Disabling them removes this installation's push registration when the device can reach Momentum's service. You can also delete individual habits, routines, to-dos, and related content in the app. You can permanently delete your Momentum account from Settings, which also removes push registrations attached to that account. Children

Momentum is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.
